Terrenus Energy

SolarLand 1 Extension

World’s First 4-In-1 Energy Generator

SolarLand 1 Extension

After studying the potential of the areas surrounding SolarLand 1 to harness various RE sources, TE created a proposal to extend the project in 2019 and was awarded the extension project in June 2020. The concept is to deploy new RE technologies including floating solar, vertical wind turbines, wave energy converters, and energy storage to build a hybrid powerplant. When completed, it will offer one of the highest solar irradiance captures (watt per square-meter) in the world and will be the first to integrate solar, wind, wave, and hydrokinetic generators into one facility. The project will be governed using proprietary IoT smart meters, AI and big data to achieve maximum energy efficiency and 24-hour baseload generation.

SL1X will be operational from mid-2022 at 15 MWp capacity and will be fully completed in 2024 with a total capacity of 25 MWp.

Key Features:

Estimated total of 25 to 30 MWp

707,360 trees planted

1,320 cars taken off the road

9,980 tonnes of carbon emissions reduced annually

At least 31.5 GWh generated annually

equivalent to powering 7,040 4-room HDB flats for one entire year
